Mayfield Church Of England Primary School

Nurturing relationships, inspiring excellence, achieving potential.

Our school

The school is situated at the end of Mayfield High Street and is an important part of the local community.

Our school building was originally Edwardian, but accommodation has grown significantly over the years with modern extensions and a temporary classroom. We also house the Community Library. There is a good size playground with direct access to a large grassed area belonging to the village. Adjacent to the playground there is a ‘grassed’ area, which the children use for education purposes and for leisure.

Currently there are approximately 173 children in the school. Children are well behaved, well motivated and enjoy coming to school. The school population reflects a wide range of ability and pupils reach high standards of achievement by the time they leave us. Achievement is above national standards at both key stages.
