Your school focus should be clear what you want the pupils to know and be able to do and about

what they need to learn and to

consolidate through practice:

Make sure your actions to achieve are linked to your intentions:

Evidence of impact: what do pupils now know and what can they now do? What has changed?:

Sustainability and suggested next steps:

Equipment for play time and lunch time clubs which will enable us to offer more clubs with different ranges of equipment.

Offering sports coaching during lunchtimes will see more children having high quality PE during lunch time, which will see more children being active and enjoying more PE. (End of 2020-2021, beginning of 2021-2022)

Increase participation at break and lunchtime with new equipment for the children to use.

Sports coach to run sports session across all year groups during lunchtimes to offer more fun and organised games for the children.

£2,025

This will give our children a better range of equipment at break and lunch time which will improve the wellbeing and participation of physical activity at these times.

This will see more children active during lunchtimes whilst learning new skills.

Equipment to be regularly monitored and checked to ensure there is a good amount of the children to use throughout the sessions so that their skills can be built upon.

Having a sports coach every lunch time will mean children will be more active for more than 30 minutes a day and will hopefully see an increase in participation.

Sustainability and suggested next steps:

A new range of sports equipment to enhance our PE provision at Mayfield Primary School. This is also to replace broken PE equipment.

To develop the fine motor skills of Reception and Key Stage 1 children

Athlete mentor to visit the school to inspire the children in sports

To improve the gross motor skills of EYFS and Key Stage 1 children

To purchase adequate storage and lighting for sheds for the new sports equipment to be put in

See an increase in participation across the school by offering new sports with the equipment. By replacing broken equipment will mean children will have better equipment to use.

Purchase fine motor resources and therapeutic putty to be used in intervention groups to support physical development.

Having a professional athlete visit the school will be great for the children to be inspired and motivated.

Purchase equipment and storage for the outside areas of EYFS and Year 1 classrooms.

Sporting equipment will be stored safely and tidily, meaning that it is easily accessed by all staff and not cluttered

Offering a range or different PE lessons with this new equipment and seeing an increase in participation through this. Having replaced broken PE equipment will see more children active and enjoying the new equipment.

Some equipment purchased to improve fine motor skills of EYFS and KS1.

We hope this will inspire more children to become more active and enjoy PE

Offering a wider range of gross motor skills building activities.

This is on order and will be implemented for the new school year 2021-2022

Offering a new range or sports equipment will see one of our key focus increasing participation in new sports across the whole school.

Results should begin to show an improvement in writing and pencil control.

This is an overall improvement for the whole school and will be a benefit for the children and teachers to have an inspiring assembly by a professional athlete.

Children’s gross motor ability will improve, therefore resulting in a higher % of children reaching their Physical development goals in EYFS and children can continue this through in to Key Stage 1.

To keep the areas tidy and obviously labelled for staff to gather the equipment as they need it.

Upskilling class teacher’s knowledge and understanding of PE and how to plan PE lessons for all children.

PE is taught more effectively across the school since the PE co-ordinator has supported and coached teachers. Staff CPD has meant that the PE co-ordinator is confident to lead PE, the school is more likely to achieve a good sports mark as a result of these improvements. The quality of PE lessons being taught have been judged to be consistently good.

Staff are adequately dressed to teach PE lessons where children can further develop their skills in different areas of the curriculum – due to having a lack of indoor space for a class.

Children are having great structured afterschool clubs provided for them and PE member of staff is able to dress appropriately for all sessions she delivers
